Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you use Springer Insurance websites, request quotes, purchase coverage, or work with our agency team.

We are an independent agency. Coverage terms and approvals come from insurance carriers.
Your information matters. Accurate applications and prompt updates help protect coverage.
Policies control coverage. Your issued policy documents govern claims, limits, and exclusions.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Springer Insurance websites and your relationship with Springer Insurance, also known as The Springer Agency ("Springer," "Agency," "we," "us," or "our"), when you request quotes, submit applications, purchase insurance, service policies, communicate with us, or use our insurance agency services.

By using our website, requesting services, submitting information, or purchasing insurance through the Agency, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit insurance requests through us.

2. Scope of Agency Services

Springer Insurance operates as an independent insurance agency. Services may include:

  • Insurance quoting, placement, and application assistance
  • Policy servicing, renewals, endorsements, certificates, and administrative support
  • General explanations of insurance products and available options
  • Claims reporting assistance and carrier contact support

We are not an insurance carrier. Insurance coverage, pricing, underwriting, claims decisions, cancellations, nonrenewals, and policy terms are determined by the applicable insurance carrier and the issued policy documents.

3. Quotes, Applications, and Coverage

Quotes are estimates based on information available at the time they are prepared. Final premiums, eligibility, coverage, fees, and terms may change after carrier underwriting, inspections, reports, application review, or additional information.

  • Submitting a quote request, application, payment, or document does not guarantee coverage.
  • Coverage is not effective until confirmed by the carrier or by the Agency when authorized by the carrier.
  • Binders, certificates, ID cards, and policy documents are subject to carrier rules and policy terms.
  • Your issued policy controls in the event of any conflict with website content, emails, summaries, proposals, or verbal explanations.

4. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information
  • Review applications, quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, invoices, certificates, and notices when received
  • Notify us promptly of changes that could affect coverage, rating, eligibility, or risk
  • Ask questions if policy terms, exclusions, limits, deductibles, or notices are unclear
  • Pay premiums, fees, and invoices by the applicable due dates

Inaccurate, incomplete, or delayed information may result in premium changes, cancellation, nonrenewal, denial of coverage, rescission, or claim denial.

5. Coverage Selection and Policy Review

You are responsible for choosing coverage types, limits, deductibles, optional endorsements, and risk management decisions. We may provide recommendations, comparisons, or educational information, but you remain responsible for reviewing and approving the coverage you purchase.

Please review every policy and endorsement carefully. If a policy does not match what you requested or expected, contact us immediately.

6. Premiums, Fees, and Compensation

Premiums are established by insurance carriers. The Agency may receive commissions, fees where permitted by law, or other compensation from insurance carriers, premium finance companies, or service partners. Any agency fees will be disclosed when required by applicable law.

7. Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Payments may be made to a carrier, the Agency, a payment processor, or a premium finance company, depending on the policy and payment method. You are responsible for ensuring payments are received on time.

Policies may be canceled or nonrenewed for reasons including nonpayment, underwriting decisions, eligibility changes, misrepresentation, loss history, carrier withdrawal, or other reasons permitted by law and policy terms.

If a policy is canceled, any unearned premium or refund is controlled by the policy, carrier rules, premium finance agreement, minimum earned premium rules, payment processor timing, and applicable law.

8. Claims Assistance

We may help report claims or connect you with carrier claim departments as a service courtesy. We do not adjust, approve, deny, settle, or pay claims. Claim decisions are made by the applicable insurance carrier under the policy terms.

9. Website Use

Website content is provided for general informational purposes. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, scrape content at scale, or use the website for unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purposes.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website at any time without notice.

10. Electronic Communications and SMS

You agree that we may communicate with you by phone, email, mail, website forms, client portals, electronic signatures, and other electronic methods where permitted by law. Electronic communications may include quote, policy, billing, claims, appointment, service, renewal, and document-related messages.

If you provide a mobile number and consent to text messaging, message frequency may vary and message/data rates may apply. Consent to SMS is not required as a condition of purchase. You may opt out by replying STOP, and you may request help by replying HELP or contacting us directly.

11. No Legal, Tax, Accounting, or Financial Advice

We do not provide legal, tax, accounting, investment, or financial planning advice. Any information we provide is general and insurance-related only. Consult qualified professionals for advice specific to those matters.

12. Intellectual Property

The website, branding, text, graphics, downloads, layouts, photos, videos, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Springer Insurance unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use our materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

13. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website and communications may link to insurance carriers, payment processors, claims portals, customer-service platforms, social media sites, or other third-party services. Those parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party websites, systems, content, availability, or decisions.

14. No Warranties

Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted website access, error-free content, coverage availability, premium accuracy before final underwriting, claim outcomes, or insurer solvency.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Springer Insurance will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from website use, service delays, third-party systems, carrier decisions, or insurance outcomes.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, any Agency liability related to a specific policy or service will not exceed the commissions or fees received by the Agency for the applicable policy period.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Springer Insurance harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or submission of inaccurate, incomplete, unauthorized, or unlawful information.

17. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any legal action related to these Terms or Agency services must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Virginia unless applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be interpreted as closely as possible to its original purpose.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective or last-updated date. Updated Terms apply to future website use, transactions, and ongoing service relationships unless prohibited by law.
