Leakbot is a neat little device that will hopefully notice a costly water leak before you do!
Nationwide sent me the new Leakbot device free of charge this week because I have the Smart Home discount on my policy. From start to finish, it took about five minutes to install - and that included getting the app set up on my phone!
The leak bot is a small black plastic device with a blue clamp that easily clamps to the main water pipe coming into the house. Pay close attention to the instructions because there are some things to take note, depending on the pipes and their location.
Simply Clamp the little blue device to the inlet water pipe in your home and that's it. (Follow the included directions of, course) After an initial learning period, it will then hopefully notice any leaks that may otherwise go unnoticed and let you know before it becomes a bigger problem.
All in all, it is a pretty neat idea, and it saves me money each year on my insurance policy! Who knows, it may save even more money if it stops me from having a water claim!

Over his many years, Nick has attained the designation of a Certified Authority on Workers Compensation (CAWC) and most recently the coveted Certified Insurance Counseller (CIC) designation.
Nick is now heading up the new Springer Private Client Division geared to High Net Worth clients.
